Dr. Rebecca Gabrenya 

Dr. Rebecca Gabrenya has been the principal of Kenyon Woods Middle School since the start of the 2025-26 school year. She has spent 19 years in education, as she began her career as a middle school science teacher and taught for nine years. Over the past four years, she has served as principal of Marquardt Middle School in Marquardt School District 15, located in Glendale Heights.

Gabrenya studied at Eastern Illinois University, where she received a bachelor's degree in elementary education with a middle school endorsement. Outside of school hours, she lives with her family in South Elgin, where her two children attend high school.

Gabrenya demonstrates a deep commitment to investing in the success of the U-46 School District. Her goal is to ensure that every student attending Kenyon Woods feels valued, challenged and inspired to dream big!
